Boozoo Bajou - Same Sun (2009)

Taken from their forthcoming album, Boozoo Bajou's slab of dubby balaeric disco 'Same Sun' is remixed by a cool crew consisting of Prins Thomas, Andy Votel and Quantec for K7. Current holder of the neu-disco crown, Prins Thomas turns up two versions, firstly a richly percussive vocal version with syruppy female vox and singing acid lines, and a more stripped 'Karaoke Versjon' letting the he acidic synthline do the talking. Votel's 'Music Minus Music Mix' is typically hairbrained, with ultra cool breaks and snippets of psyched oddness rearranged around the vocal, with a epic ending to boot and all within a nippy 5 minutes. Quantec's mix should attract a lot of attention from the dub house camp with one of his finer recent tracks, operating at a sluggish mid tempo groove with spaciously arranged vocals floating in the ether. Very nice indeed.
