Nouvelle Vague - Aula Magna 07.12.07 - 2CD (2008)

23.3.09

To dance "Too drunk to fuck", "Blue monday" or "Heart of glass" according to
Nouvelle Vague sound, wether it is on your room, on a festival tent or on the
disco dancefloor let's you find the meaning of these songs. This show they gave
in past December, at Aula Magna, Lisboa, let's you find much more about them and
the songs they play.
Nouvelle Vague are not exactly a jazz band, nor a bossa nova band, neither a new
wave band. Nevertheless, their jazzy exoctic and eclectic sound makes them
unique. Their cover versions, intimist, naughty, happy and dancing ones, go
through unlikely names, such as Dead Kennedys, New Order or Blondie, along many
others.
They choose Portugal to record their first live CD/DVD, because of the special
relation they have with the country.
