Shortwave Fade - Deletia (2009)

Whereas many bands proclaim to have come storming from the underground, few can make this claim so literally.

The chemistry was cornered in the basement in Leicester where Ben Allen (guitar/samples) and Chris Holloway (vocals/guitar) used to meet to write and record songs. Joined by Rich Herrington (drums) and Rob Sheppard (bass) SHORTWAVE FADE have begun to trace an upward arc from these roots to a wider audience.

The first demo was met enthusiastically and the initial run sold out as the band set out playing venues all over the country supporting the likes of Keane and The Subways along the way.

Shortwave Fade followed up their first downloadable single 'Anything to anyone' through Oxford-based label Shifty Disco last year, with the 3-track EP 'Cover Your Eyes', now available to download from Shifty Disco. At the start of 2008, Shortwave Fade won the indie/rock showcase at www.slicethepie.com receiving £15,000 to produce their debut album! The band have finished recording the album 'Deletia' with producer Gavin Monahan (Editors/Scott Matthews/Jesus And The Mary Chain), and it is now due for release in March 2009.
