H.U.G.O. - Equilibrium (2009)

The H.U.G.O are born in the 2006 from the encounter between Daniela (voice, witnesses, agreements), Mark (battery, agreements, audio editing) and Rocco (eclectic polistrumentista, composer and arranger). The first pieces see the light, electronic bases played to the computer and witnesses in Italian.

The H.U.G.O then decide to play from the alive one and begin the long search of an other element for the group. During the tests in it knows it alternate various chitarristi that will not never become but part of the band. In this phase the doubts and the questions are many, everyone has an own idea that must cohabit with that of the others and not c' it is some emergency to succeed to meet itself. The experiences and the tastes of everyone of the members rather are variegati: Daniela comes from the rock psichedelico and the post punk, with evolution in music electronic (Doors, Lydya Lunch, Spiral Tribe), Mark is inspired from the jungle and the nu-jazz of matrix electronic (Massive Photek, Squarepusher, Lamb, Bugge Wesseltoft), Rocco loves the Attack, Bjork, Brian Eno but also the Jazz, Bach, Beethoven and classic music in general terms. The sung one in Italian does not satisfy and decides to use the English who seems to be more near the electronic sounds and allows to speak public a immenser - although still invisibile one. It is own in this phase that the group discovers new points of encounter and the new production tracks is made more driven in. Daniela accidentally meets Alexander Parilli, musician of long experience that sound contrabbasso and the low electrical worker, beyond to having much familiarity with the computer and like fonico, that it enters to make part of linens-up stablily.

Marta, best percussionista joins then, but only for a short time before moving itself in Spain, where still it lives. To this point the group begins a new phase: new pieces are born and those are see again already existing thinking them for a more complete formation and in a position to playing more instruments from the alive one. The tuning grows, every problem is melted for the wish to make and the joy always better than to see of the result. The fusion can be defined psichedelia elettroacustica, with tackings towards the club cultures. Currently the H.U.G.O are preparing the escape of their first record job, “Equilibrium”, on label FRIDGE RECORDS, distribution GOODFELLAS, previewed for May 2009.
