Placebo return to what awaits them on June 12th with new album Battle for the Sun, preceded by single ‘For What It’s Worth’ on June 5th.
The three-piece have been recently re-invigorated by new drummer Steve Forrest and the press release notes - “complete artistic freedom following the end of their contract with Virgin”. Battle for the Sun is being self-released by the band.
It was recorded over a period of three months in Toronto studio and mixed in London by Alan Moulder. The band are calling their new material ‘hard pop’.
